🚴‍♀️ What is RACE? 🚴‍♂️RACE—Regional Academy of Cycling Excellence—is more than just a cycling program. It’s a pathway for young regional cyclists to develop their talent, balance their lives, and grow into well-rounded athletes. 🌟Founded by the legendary Tim Decker, the current Australian Head Coach of Track Endurance, who led the Australian Track Pursuit team to Gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, RACE is driven by a passion for excellence and a deep commitment to fostering young talent. 🥇🚴‍♂️Based in Bendigo, RACE is a not-for-profit organisation focused on supporting female and male cyclists in their development stage. Our purpose? To help young riders achieve their cycling dreams while fostering life skills that extend beyond the bike.💡 Our Focus:- World-class coaching to refine skills and build confidence 🚴‍♀️- Guidance on balancing sport, education, and life commitments ⚖️- Mentorship programs to prepare riders for elite racing 🏆- Support for competing locally, interstate, and internationally 🌍We aim to prepare our athletes for the National Road Series and educate them about the discipline, teamwork, and etiquette required to succeed at that level. 🏅At RACE, we believe in being the best we can be—on and off the bike. 🌎 RACE Development team member, Tobias Jelbart, has enjoyed the taste of riding on the famous ‘t Kuipke or Citadel Park Indoor Velodrome in Ghent, Belgium which opened in 1927 and was rebuilt after a fire in 1965.With a length of 166 metres, 't Kuipke is one of the shortest cycling tracks in the European Six Days circuit.
