What a way to kick off Round 1 of the Smart Loans Criterium 🙌The Bendigo & District Cycling Club delivered an outstanding opener, with a big field of riders across all grades hitting the circuit and setting the tone for an exciting series ahead.It was fantastic to see such depth of talent on show, highlighted by a superb ride from RACE’s own Tobias Jelbart, who rode with confidence, composure and race smarts well beyond his years to take 1st place in the U17s 🥇 A classy performance and a well-earned result. 💚A huge thank you to BDCC, Smart Loans sponsors, and the army of volunteers who made the event possible. Huge congratulations to our riders who put on a fantastic show at the Bendigo & District Cycling Club Track Senior Club Time Trial Championships 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️The men’s Elite 1,000m was stacked with quality and our crew rose to the challenge. Sebastian Freer powered his way to a brilliant 3rd place, stopping the clock at a sharp 1:12.84. Not far behind, Thomas Brain rode strongly to 5th, with Nate Brain backing it up in 7th — a great display of depth and consistency.In the women’s 1,000m, the podium was just as exciting. Toni Abbisogni delivered a gutsy ride to claim 3rd place, right behind former team rider Maddie Douglas who took 2nd, with Amber Kelly rounding out the top four in 4th.Proud of the effort, the results, and the way our riders continue to represent with class and determination.
